Wanna go back

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

You may remember that I went to Vegas last year. I really enjoyed myself. It was fun to meet people IRL that I had been hanging out with online, but I also enjoyed the casinos. The gambling wasn’t all that to me, but I enjoyed all the different themes and decor. I think I could easily spend a week in Vegas and Laughlin hotels and never see the same thing twice. It’s hoppin’!

A favorite Game

I like the game Othello. It is such a simple game, little two colored disks placed on what is basically pool table felt only thinner. You win by making the board show mostly your color, black or white. It’s a strategy game, see. You flip the disks by trapping the other persons color between two of your color.

Slinging it

I don;t think either of my last two babies have ever sat in strollers. They were so tiny when they were born that I wore them both in a sling all the time, and just got into the habit of carrying them. I still do, too. Even though they are now 4 and 2. Hmm. If we start going more places, I may have to rethink this issue.

Coffee Fetish

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

You know from looking at this theme that I love me some coffee, but amazingly, I ran out today! Can you believe that? I can’t either, but it is true. Crisis was narrowly averted when my dear husband offered to go to the store. I managed to survive by gazing at the half pot that was left from the afternoon brew.

I hurt

Specifically, my left pointer finger joint, where it attaches to my hand, is on fire. It is an arthritis flareup from knitting with crappy yarn over the weekend. I would take some tylenol, except that I try NOT to do that with arthritis because I am afraid that if I can’t feel the pain, I will keep going and end up doing permanent damage to the joints. Not that arthritis isn’t damage, but you get my point.

By the way, did you know that tylenol is made by Johnson & Johnson? Yep, it sure is. And so is Neutrogena. And Aveeno. And Splenda. And Lactaid. In fact, just go and see how many consumer products they make. It’s way to many to list here. But this is new cucumber melon baby wash is destined to be a favorite of mine, because cucumber melon is the bomb! And yes, I use baby products on my grown up skin. Have you ever seen a wrinkled and dried up baby? DUH!
