Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

Care to mingle with the rich and famous? If you are going to be in Tahoe in July, check out the 18th Annual There will be plenty of golf celebrities, but also some Hollywood-ites. Here’s the player list.

Of course, all the top golf club makers want their clubs in the players hands for this tournament. I bet we’ll see plenty of Ping Golf clubs and accessories.

Paris doing time

Here’s a Reuters video for you, announcing that has reported for her time.

I wonder what they let her keep with her for her un-vacation. I’ll bet she didn’t need nearly as much luggage as she usually takes for a three week adventure. So, let’s take a wee poll, just for something to talk about:

Who’s got the little dog? Leave a comment and let me know your guess.

Spears Admits Problems

According to CNN, is apparently facing some of her issues. There’s a letter on her website explaining some of her recent behavior. It has got to be rough to live life under a microscope, every mistake magnified, under scrutiny from the world. I think about that each time I find myself getting the tiniest bit envious of some celebrity. Relative anonymity has it’s advantages. I could decide to drop off the face of the internet, and I’d only need to send out a few emails. But someone like Britney, she can’t even take her kids to an Orlando vacation home for a few days without being hounded.

I’ll note that the same thing is happening to Lindsay Lohan. CNN has published an incredibly unflattering picture of her to go along with a recent article on her that includes her stint in rehab, and subsequent apparent drug use. These are young girls. Oh, I know “everyone grows up so fast these days”. Yeah, but maybe they shouldn’t have to.

Paris

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

So I heard the other night that Paris Hilton has agreed to stop fighting her sentence, and will go peaceably to her new vacation home rental, aka JAIL. She’ll serve a whopping 23 days of her 45 days sentence, with time off for good behavior. Two questions: 1) what’s the point of sentencing someone to 45 days and then cutting the sentence in half? Why not just say what you mean in the first place? 2) can Paris Hilton really be on good behavior for 23 straight days?
