Thoughts on Britney

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

I saw yesterday that Britney Spears had lost custody of her boys, and this morning I read the full article at CNN. The judge has given a slew of orders to both parents, which in my mind effectively warrant an un-parenting. Not to say that many of those rulings weren’t needful and warranted, but those two are to actual parents now like costume jewelry is to the green giant.

Cold And Heartless

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

I don’t care. I guess that sounds awful, but it’s true. I’m cold and I’m heartless, and I don’t want to to read/hear about/discuss any more famous people going to drug rehab. Can we please place this on hiatus? I mean, I’m glad they are getting help, but I think they’d be a bit more successful without all of us pointing fingers, snickering and placing bets on how long they’ll stay in…this time.

Celebrity Gossip

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

I visited a new site today that I thought you might be interested in. The site covers celeb gossip, and you’ll find all the hot names here. Celebrity Gossip gathers all the top stories, and then allows users to vote on them and leave comments. You do have to register to participate, but not to read. Registration pays off, however because of an interesting feature of the site that they call bonus points. You get points for registering and also for referring others. (No points are involved for this post). You can trade your points for magazine subscriptions, including People, Star and TV Guide to name just a few.

I like how the articles are set up on this site. You get a goodish paragraph, and then if something interests you, you can click through to read more. There are also links to related posts at the bottom of each article, and they all contain links to the original source as well. The authors have put together a clean, informative site, and they give credit where credit is due. That’s a beautiful thing.

Parental Concerns

Friday, June 15th, 2007

Thinking back on Anna Nicole Smith and Danielyn, I’m left wondering about that baby. I’m sure she was covered well in the will, but I imagine that the bulk of Anna Nicole’s money is still in dispute. I haven’t heard anything about her lawsuit coming to a final conclusion. Of course, I know nothig about Larry Birkhead’s finances, either. I’m hopeful that Anna Nicole had a hefty life insurance policy, because if you want to raise a child in the lap of luxury, it costs a lot of money. Come to think of it, child insurance is probably a pretty good idea, too.

Paris Hilton and Sex

Not her morals, her jail time. You know, in-out-in-out.
