ACM Awards
It had been my intent to live blog the ACMs last night, but other things precluded that. Now you are stuck with warmed-over first impressions, and that’s just not nearly as fun. I guess it was no shock that Kenny Chesney won Entertainer of the Year again, for the third year in a row. He’s a fine singer and all, but it’s about time to move on, I think.
I was real pleased that George Strait won Single and Song of the Year for “Give it Away”. Ya’ll–that’s a real song.
And Reba? She just needs to give up the pop stuff right on up. The girl is country, plain and simple, and she does it very well. I was embarrassed for her last night.
